New Meditations
Challenging Thoughts for Challenging TimesWe are all just humans in our “life suits” which are just containers. We have to get away from the attachment of looking a certain way or thinking we don’t look good enough…and are therefore altogether not good enough.
We judge other people’s body flaws and in so doing we reflect those judgments back on to us. Try this game. The next time you see someone and your head starts to criticize some flaw in how they look…stop yourself and think “Isn’t that an interesting body suit?” When you can think of their body suit like they are just dressed up as a costumed character in a theme park – you lighten up the judgment and see the humor in our human condition. It is just our container for life – not who we are. Then try to give yourself the same gift of compassion and acceptance.
The people who love you – love you just as you are. When we are present and connecting to another person – our bodies disappear – because what is most important in any relationship is that energetic exchange. A conversation – an embrace – a look of love or kindness.
Centered Action
Honor the Body Suit – It is just on temporary loan and a blessed gift.
